Privacy policy

This website, carhirevanhire.com, is run by Shout Websites Ltd, 67 Knowles Hill Road, Newton Abbot, Devon, TQ12 2PP ("we"). This policy explains what happens to the information you give us.

What we collect

When you send a quote request we collect the details you enter: your name, phone number, email address, town or postcode, hire dates, the vehicle you want and any message. We also record the page you sent it from and your IP address, to prevent spam.

What we do with it

Your request is emailed to our vehicle hire partner, a UK hire company, so they can contact you with a quote and arrange your hire. That is the only reason we collect it. We do not sell your details or use them for marketing.

Legal basis

We process your details because you have asked for a quote (steps taken at your request before entering into a contract).

How long it is kept

Your request is emailed to our hire partner, with a copy to us so we can check every request has been passed on. A copy is also kept in a private file on this website's server, which is not publicly accessible, and is deleted automatically after 12 months. Our hire partner keeps your details for as long as they need them to deal with your enquiry and any hire, and to meet their legal obligations.

Cookies

This website does not use cookies or tracking for advertising or analytics.

Phone calls

Calls to the number on this website are connected to our hire partner. The number is a tracking number, which tells them which website you called from.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how it is used. Email admin@carhirevanhire.com. If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
